2009 International Pinot Noir Celebration: Pasport to Pinot (McMinnville, Oregon): The age is playing well on the nose here, with aged cherries showing prominently. The palate is thoroughly enjoyable with strawberries and cherries making up the fruity components. There is a bit of minerality, and the texture is round, full, and very complimentary. The aged fruit flavors are enjoyable, and the wine is well integrated. Drink this baby up!

2009 International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) Passport to Pinot (McMinnville, OR): Fresh, meaty, almost like a pate aroma on the nose. Very soft, like plum compote aroma... Very nice mid-palate, showing clean, integrated fruit. Clean, integrated, smooth, and drinking within its prime window. This is truly delicious. Almost meaty on the finish as well. Still has some bitter tannins, but it's very nice. Most integrated wine of the tasting so far.

A little muted on the fruit and finish wasnt as memorable. No where near as intense as it was early looking back at my last note I think I remember it being a little on the light side should have enjoyed within 3 years vs waiting 6

Awesome Pinot one of my all time favorites, drank with a Cassanova di neri 2001 much lighter and soft of course but beautifull fruit with a very elegant finish - the best.

Heritage: Dark spice, darker soft fruit; earthy t’s, smooth. Very good stuff--complex and full flavored. But 35 bucks?
