Tuesday, June 13, 2006 - 3 Grapes, 3 Countries: '97 Tignanello, '97 Pian delle Vigne, '97 Cinq Cepages, '97 Taylor, '01 Zind Windsbuhl, '96 Cornerstone Beatty & '02 Beringer PR Chardonnay (Monterrey, Mexico): Bright ruby and clear. What a great nose this wine had! Very complex aromas of pencil shavings, raspberry and other red fruits with very nice minerality. Medium bodied and showing lively acidity. The finish is long and pleasant, the tannin completely assimilated. Excellent once again.
