Friday, July 15, 2011 - Opened for Gene. Medium garnet. Intense and complex nose of plum, tobacco, licorice, soil, cherries and sawn oak. Low+ acidity on the palate which is plush and expansive and a real sense of uncoutous and ripeness without being heavy. Tannins are still there, slightly grainy and bitter, with blueberry on the lovely and slightly warm, very long finish. This is excellent and was a great wine.
