Tuesday, January 31, 2012 - 2009 Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux Tasting; 1/27/2012-1/31/2012 (Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Chicago, Illinois): 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot. Aromatic nose which outshown what was present on the palate. Notes of brambly red fruit. Lighter body. I slightly preferred the 2000 to this wine. 89-91 points.
