Saturday, February 18, 2012 - shared with ellen, mahesh and pat at selkirk manor. we were celebrating ellen winning her first case in court. should have opened a better bottle but this was impromptu and i did not have another chilled white on hand. i bought this knowing that it was probably over the hill but the price was deeply discounted. the wine shows golden color which is the first clue that it is probably too old. lively citrus fruits described when the wine was young are no longer evident. presently, fruit is dried out and taste is dominated by butter scotch. not enough sweetness to say that this will evolve into a sauternes like product or anything else interesting.
