Wednesday, June 13, 2012 - Consumed over 2 days, note from day 2. Nose: Medium expressiveness, black cherry, bacon fat, chocolate, smoke and vanilla. Palate: Medium to full bodied, nice balance, ice tea, Asian spice, and cherry up front, holds up nicely thru the mid-palate, turns a little astringent/bitter in the back-end. Finish: Subtle start dominated by non-sweetened ice tea and Asian spice that builds in intensity for 5-10 seconds and lingers for 30+ seconds. This wine hits on all cylinders from front to back which is great, but just lacks one important factor - deliciousness.
