2010 Ravines Wine Cellars Chardonnay

Monday, December 10, 2012 - Medium lemon in color. The 2010 Ravines Chardonnay boasts an alluring white Burg nose of butterscotch, white flowers, lemon Meringue, citrus skin and sappy vanilla. A generous acidity, tropical fruit notes, and a overtly autolytic note abound on the palate (this almost tastes like an inexpensive Champagne that someone has shaken all of the bubbles out of). From attack to finish the wine is almost too yeast driven for a table Chard, but is undoubtedly one of the best inexpensive east coast Chards I have ever had.
