Monday, December 24, 2012 - Christmas Eve with Family (Our House): Light gold color. Drank a couple glasses over 45 minutes. This was a great final bottle to cap off the 1999 DVX's. Nose shows some earth, yeast, nutty, citru and apple with very fine bubbles. The palate is elegant and delicate, carrying depth but not heavy handed, apple, citrus, nutty, doughy minerals. Great balance, nice finish. Really great way to start the celebration, but I am very sorry to see these go. For any who still have this with good provenance, don't be afraid to hang onto this another 2-3 years.
