Tuesday, July 9, 2013 - The nose showed an intense mix of black cherry, ripe fig, sweet spice and crushed fall leaves, with a beautiful freshness that kept it from going over the top. On the palate, it showed sweet dark fruits on the first pour, yet never became cloying as it leveled out with time in the glass, gaining richness, and revealing dark earth tones with plum and medicinal cherry. This wine's intense fruit slowly melted away through the finish, lasting an easy minute. It may be a full throttle style of wine--but I like it.
