Sunday, August 4, 2013 - Very intense cherry, and a bit of cranberry. Some heat, surprising for the 14.6%. A little cola. Less than plush mouth feel, but still smooth--I'm beginning to prefer this over the super-rich velvet texture that some aim for. All in all a very nice wine, but not much complexity or finish. B

11/25/2014 Still disappointed in the lack of finish. It's a nice wine, but not up to par with some of their later vintages.

2/21/2019 Five more years in the bottle hasn't changed it much, which surprises me. It's still all fruit at the beginning, without being the least bit extracted, but then fades quickly.
