Saturday, June 16, 2007 - This started off slightly simple and not seeming very sweet for an auslese. After about a 1/2 hour it burst forward with teeth-coating intensity, sweetness, and powerful acidity. The predominant flavor is stone-fruit, like sucking on the pit of an apricot. This is a baby that will grow up to be a big big wine. Otis's comment was "you have a Goldkap of this?" It's hard to believe there's a more intense version out there.
