Coravin fun - European Riesling (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Medium plus intensity aromas show honey, stony fruit, slight custard apple and a little green apple underpin, fresh ripe citrus, Nice nose. Juicy medium plus intensity acidity, tangy, off dry, sugar/acid balance near perfect, beautifully harmonious, flavours of stone fruit, custard apple, slight honey and very slight textured burr. Glorious, wonderful

During a tasting session. Glad to see that my last two bottles of this did well. Excellent aromatics with elder flower, quince, petrol, lemon. Rich and ripe but not sticky. Many Bordeaux drinkers in the room mentioned that this is so much more pleasant to drink than a Sauternes.

(J.J. Prum Wehlener Sonnenhur Auslese) This was excellent stuff but not in the same league as the Graach. It was perfect Wehlen wine with ripe generous fruit and lemony acidity and tons of fruit but of the regular Auslesen I preferred the Badstube and the Himmelreich.

Lovely aromatics. Petrol, white flowers, lemon curd, and stone fruit. Great weight while staying bright and energetic. Loved it!

Perhaps it was the tasting sequence - this went after Fritz Haag Auslese GK and FH beat the crap out of JJ, sort of like MUN and BVB in 2021 DFL.
