Friday, July 6, 2007 - What a beautiful bottle of wine. A sophisticated gently sweet bitter dessert. Lively, bright, soft-but-textured fruit, bacon, dark cherries, menthol, hay, copper. Blew away the more expensive 2001 Conn Valley Right Bank merlot / cab franc blend. If any weakness, it's a little straight forward and it trails off at the back of the tongue.
