The 2005 is a perfect auslese-year, where many growers obtained high levels of sugar. Prüm is in my book at the absolut top, together with Fritz Haag, at least in middle-mosel. In Saar obviously Egon Müller is king. This wine is fairly undeveloped, with lots of primary aromas. The petroleum nose has not arrived yet, but it will. Lots of tropial fruit, candied pineapple, etc. Acidity is peeking through the lush fruit and it has shed its baby fat. Very good balance and great with cheese! This will develop into something very big (given 10-20 years)!
