Monday, November 24, 2014 - Wow, what a wine. Big by any standard, but with such class and complexity. A knockout nose of sweet dark fruit, smoke, leather and tobacco, with just a touch of minerality and the "Cayuse funk" (a lot less than most of their Syrah offerings). Deep penetrating dark fruit with with a slightly spicy finish. Very new world, but also very Tempranillo. Outstanding.
