Saturday, December 26, 2015 - Drank with the leftover Prime Rib dinner that we had on Christmas day. Firm in body and a deep purple in color. After decanting for an hour this wine opened up and gave us a big cab with blackberry and leather on the nose. The blackberry is prominent at first taste along with tea, eucalyptus with a dust and forest floor finish.
Excellent with the Prime Rib and beef gravy. It still has plenty of cellar life in front of it with ample tannins present.
