Wednesday, September 7, 2016 - tasted blind. bigger spatlese - warmer vintage (with a touch of botrytis) yellow apples, apricot and ginger notes. mid plays between sweet orchard fruit and apples - green and yellow. back is spicy with mineral and zest as well as ginger. long finish. just beautiful. early maturity but far from peak. i will likely open one in 5 years.
