Friday, November 11, 2016 - This was the first wine in a spectacular horizontal tasting of different Selosse Champagnes. Dég. October 2011. I am usually not the biggest fan of rosé Champagne (or any rosé for that matter) but boy is this good. Explosive aromatics of orange zest, vanilla, sweet spices, some dried red fruits, nuts, honey, minerals and also some oxidative notes (like in most of Selosse's wines). It's full bodied, dense but with amazing tension and still medium+ acidity, small perfect bubbles. Excellent length. A great and complex rosé Champagne of the very highest level. Some in our group liked it a little less than I did, but everybody agreed that is was excellent quality. Drink now.
