Does not like this wine:

Friday, September 10, 2010 - A: Mid gold
N: Astringency burning my nose. Not a lot more on the nose
P: Asparagus, green beans, sweetened butter and minerality. Just waves of canned vegetables left in the mouth.Acidity is low and the body quite high. The alcohol (13.5%) feels hot. Tastes like elderly baked turnip fried on slate.

C: alcohol out of balance as is acidity , the intensity is not high but thank goodness, length is short and it is simple/neutral (i.e.. primaries from the same cluster).
2006 was a bumper year in burgundy in Meursault which is the cote de Beaune but Puilly Fuisse seeks to emulate. However, this is hot and unbalanced. Just tastes fried. God knows what the 2004 is going to taste like. I wish i had paint that needed stripping. Cote de Beaune or even the cote de chalonnaise may sleep deeply. This poses no threat.

This producer was a headliner in the region in the 1980s but cannot believe this is what they sell to patrons stopping at their winery. Hopeless! Awful QPR at $40 a bottle
