Saturday, March 31, 2018 - On opening the palate was medicinal - think cherry cough syrup. Three hours of air muted this but never quite removed it. My youngest at this point said 'you don't usually drink something this sweet". It was OK with a standing rib roast but didn't improve with it.
Day 2 saw continued recession of the sweetness, but also flattened out.
This vintage was the first from the estate vines and maybe it is just a matter of youth, but I am less than impressed.
