Monday, April 16, 2018 - Good QPR for a $10 bottle, but a little untamed at this point. Translucent look and medium garnet color. Burgundy color meniscus. Notes of berries, licorice, and tobacco. Medium bodied feel with a full bodied intensity. The intensity is fulled by 15% alcohol that may, at first, be too intense for the ladies. My wife complained of a headache. Unmistakable tannins that are well integrated, but may do better with a few more years in the bottle. Old world style. Medium finish that is surprisingly long at this price point. A good weekday or campfire wine when coupled with a steak.
