Saturday, July 28, 2018 - Sat, 07/28/18, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): 70% Grenache & 30% Syrah; 50,000 cs imported

N: A melange of grapes/minerals/flowers, the grapes SLIGHTLY atop

P: Med body; Very RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish frt met by an initially ALMOST puckerish acidity which loses the pucker as it morphs into a LONG, tangy/swt (65:35) finish with a VERY, slight bitterness. My VG/VG+. For now & into EARLY '20, the bitterness being at least somewhat problematic. 86 pts WS. [This vendor's $9.95 puts it in the top 20% of wine-searcher's current listings.]
