Friday, September 14, 2018 - 1989 Piedmont Retrospective (Cinghiale, Baltimore): Relatively straightforward nose displaying subtle red fruit, tar, iron and earth. Good concentration, subtle cherry fruit, good acidity and mineral and a medium long finish. It is surprisingly tannic, perhaps the most tannic wine of the flight.
