Monday, November 5, 2018 - A most enjoyable wine lunch (Eddie V's Prime Seafood McLean Virginia): Creamy depth when enjoyed with the oysters that we had for lunch. Iodine rich, but not as impressive as the 1996 Comtes de Champagne. I enjoyed the apple and stone fruit aspects. It was just a bit short on the finish. Butteaux is southwest of the Chablis town centre and its steep slope with limestone-rich soils is abutted to the east by the Forets climat, the next wine we tried.
