It’s amazing what a few more years and lesser expectations does. On the nose there is wonderful spice, almost vosne-like, along with fine earth tones. The fruit is dark with a nice long and smoothly textured finish and a bit of savoriness. It is no Rousseau Chambertin, but then again, very few wines on this planet are. However, it is closer to Rousseau Chambertin than, say Trapet. A wonderful wine and certainly worth holding.
