91 Points

Monday, January 28, 2019 - Full bodied and immediately assessable. Ripe red fruit, smoke, dried herbs, and vanilla. Grainy texture with a fair amount of unobtrusive tannins. I’m surprised by the robustness that this wine sees no oak. Made to drink now but may actually improve in a years time. Ridiculous value at the sub $5 price point and still not bad at $15. I agree with the prior note that it’s in the same league as higher end/producer Côte du Rhône.
