Decanted for 15 minutes. Just a tad less enjoyable than the bottle in Dec. of last year as the darker components - earth and herbs - were a bit more prominent, and the red fruits were a bit more muted, with the acidity still juicy. Would suggest drinking up within the next year.

Past it’s prime but still the best $2 bottle I’ve ever had. Structure, acid, and brightness are totally gone and replaced by espresso grounds and milk chocolate. Still it’s medium bodied and more than drinkable but would not hold longer.

PnP, but was much better after 20 minutes of air. A medium bodied rioja with lots of red fruits, touches of herb and earth, some drying tannins, and almost juicy acidity. Not a typical rioja, but Telmo Rodriguez is not a typical winemaker. An incredible steal at the "introductory" price of $5 (usually $15). If drinking now, I would decant for 15-20 minutes, or slo-ox for 30+. Should hold for several years.

Wine Align put this in the quarterly mystery box. I'm glad they did. There was a lot of fruit, leaning to light red rather than dark, good tannins, and despite what everyone else is writing on this thread, I would have said medium body. Very nice.

Taking my own advice, I drank another with a meal I would have CdR with. But this is pretty big, so I have to keep that in mind. Surprisingly dark for the blend and vinification. Sweet, dark cherries, a little savory note in there.

Full bodied and immediately assessable. Ripe red fruit, smoke, dried herbs, and vanilla. Grainy texture with a fair amount of unobtrusive tannins. I’m surprised by the robustness that this wine sees no oak. Made to drink now but may actually improve in a years time. Ridiculous value at the sub $5 price point and still not bad at $15. I agree with the prior note that it’s in the same league as higher end/producer Côte du Rhône.

P&p. Dense, darkish fruit, with touches of chocolate and herbs; fairly fruit forward, with some grippy tannins and decent acidity, a touch sweet, balanced by a little bitterness toward the finish. Tasty enough, with some substance/depth and attractive rusticity. In one word, it's robust. If blind, maybe I would guess Maury or Corbieres, so it certainly seems like it could be from Spain, but would never guess this is Rioja mainly because there is zero oak. In any case, it comes across as an almost archetypical, fun, robust, warm climate "winter weeknight red" (that's a term now).

Catching up so guessing a bit at the date. This is garnacha heavy, so it's not your usual Rioja, more forward, easy stuff to drink. Could substitute for a Cotes du Rhone or even an inexpensive CdP. It's good, but it's not going to age for a long time. Worth what I paid... and I really wish I had bought more when K&L dropped the price to a ridiculous figure. By the time I saw the price, it had sold out. Again, this is not Remelluri, it's a different beast, but shows the good winemaking on a grenache based backbone.

Dark cherry notes on the nose. You would anticipate a heavy wine with mature fruits. On the contrary, the acidity keeps it fresh and juicy. A velvet glove surrounding the tannins. Good lenght.

Nice red and black fruit with some red licorice and light smoke character. Because of the missing oak it’s a little one dimensional, but nicely ripe. I’ve had more interesting Rioja for the price.

I had this wine directly from my wine fridge at 11° while it was a very hot summer day. Perfect match, very fresh with lots of fruit and minerals, very smooth with medium to full body! Great stuff at 7,5 euro!!

Easy drinking, maybe a bit simplistic, but only cost 7,5 euro. Not bad

This wine was fine with grilled chicken. Sipping after the meal, it seemed dry, tannic, with lean red fruit. Would not buy again.

Not typical Rioja here; this is fresh, red fruit and acid, some minerality. No wood notes, but does have some tannic grip.
