Saturday, April 6, 2019 - Medium golden color, looks more aged than it is. Also the nose is showing some surprising notes of petrol (at this young age), but also vibrant aromatics of lemon oil, steel, minerality, also some flowery notes and again tons of steely/slatey minerality, also some kumquat. After a few minutes, the slightly advanced notes blow off and there is more complexity coming through. It‘s pretty full-bodied, powerful, but with almost bracing high acidity cutting through everything and adding electrifying tension. Very good length, finishes with a touch of warmth. A very good Doosberg and a pretty good price in the context of GG. (93+)
