Wednesday, January 15, 2020 - Opaque purple in color. 14.7% ABV. Dark, brooding nose of black fruits, barbecued meats, flowers and olive brine. Big and full bodied with perfect acidity. Exceptional concentration with a luscious core of sweet fruits. Blueberries, blackberry liqueur, espresso and charred meat on the palate. The finish is glorious with silky tannins. Amazing Syrah. Every bit as good as the monumental '09 and '10. About as good as it gets from California. Drink over the next 4-6 years.
