Thursday, January 23, 2020 - Black and dark red fruit - currants/cassis, blackberry, and dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth/concentration - medium plus body. Nice vibrant/rich flavors of dark berries, some spice/licorice, and a little cocoa. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep. Popped/poured but drank out of a decanter for a couple hours. Improved a little with time but drinking quite well right away despite its youth. A nice vintage of this wine and a solid QPR in the mid $50s. In my opinion, in line with the 92 rating from WA. 94% cab and 6% merlot.

2/10/2020 1:00:00 PM - Nice note Badmonkey. I see some of this at a decent price, how would you classify this wine, would you buy it again, or would you call it a cut above a good table wine or is it better?

2/10/2020 1:14:00 PM - Yack Man, it's a solid cab for around $50. I believe you'll be pleased for the money but it didn't move me to load-up. I bought a six pack.

10/7/2020 2:27:00 PM - Badmonkey, TY for this TN that (at least IMO) *accurately* conveys what this wine is about! :) Yack Man, though I didn't think to use it in my TN of 10/19/19, "crowd pleaser" is something I easily COULD have said 'bout this vintage/style! ;) [Both of you, SHOULD you be interested, I just uploaded specific info for this vintage, including acclaim, which can be accessed via the CellarTracker Article link (lower lft)]
