Monday, January 20, 2020 - The nose showed depths of briary red berry fruits and herbs with a dusting of sweet spice, as hints of dark, moist soil tones evolved in the glass. On the palate, soft textures gave way to zesty acids, which carried a mix of red and black fruits effortlessly across the scenes, nearly masking its tannic structure. The finish was long, yet energetic and fresh, showing wild berry fruits with a floral flourish at the close. This is an understated vintage for Lynch Bages, which may surprise us down the road.
