Saturday, June 6, 2020 - Still very young, but hinting at its great class. Darker ruby/garnet color. Still primary, with some hints of oak (spices, vanilla), but also plenty of dark fruit, blackberries, dark cherries, also some red raspberries, menthol, dark minerality and some crushed violets too. It‘s medium-full bodied, with excellent mid-palate persistence, medium-high but super silky and polished tannin, there is also excellent pretty high acidity. Very long finish with plenty of youhful complexity. I would give this another 3-5 years to open up aromatically, but this is another fantastic wine from this great producer. All this needs is a little more time. (95+)
