Monday, August 10, 2020 - This wine evolves in an enjoyable way as it opens up. At first, this wine has more of an inky black, flinty profile, standoffish and intense and not ready yet. After about 20-30 minutes of decanting, red fruit emerges and suddenly you realize there's an entire orchestra playing in the background. Frankly this wine is intimidating. I've had plenty of nice wines, but just like the other time I tried this I don't feel equipped to explain the depth of this experience. Unreal. I guess I need to keep trying.
