Wednesday, September 23, 2020 - Virtual wine tasing with Terry Kandylis, organized by London's 67 Pall Mall club (non-blind): Wine 5 of 6. A blend of 70% Zinfandel, 15% Carignane, 12% Petite Sirah and 3% Alicante Bouschet. Bright dark ruby colour. Rip and sweet dark fruit, high-class dark chocolate, coconut, mint and spices, with balancing acidity, well-integrated tannin and superb length. Full and sweet, yet round, balanced and very elegant in light of its high alcohol content. Dense, well-structured and very persistent. Perfect for BBQ. I am usually not a fan of Zinfandel, but I liked this 2015 Geyserville quite a bit!

9/26/2020 2:19:00 PM - TY for posting this! :) If you entered notes for any or all of the other wines in this Zoom tasting, have you considered linking them via a "Tasting Story"?

9/26/2020 3:14:00 PM - PSP, while it may well not matter to most, it DOES at least provide context for the wine(s?) in which the reader is interested. Plus, since many (most?) of such organized flights have a theme, knowing all the participants can allow comparisons that would not otherwise be made. ;) Finally, once one gets the hang for how to enter them, the tasting stories are fairly effortless to create. [I've a bunch of 'em, should you wish to check out the basic setup.] ;)
