Friday, December 25, 2020 - I guess I don't see what others like in this Champagne. My third bottle. Last night it was highly acidic with a bitter finish, lots of over-powering citrus notes. We followed it for over three hours and made sure it was at the right temperature, not too cold. Today, still no improvement. Glad most everyone enjoyed, but this was not for me. Happily only one more bottle in the cellar.

6/18/2021 3:58:00 AM - I was reading over TN’s of DP 09 when I came across your review. Excellent review without being carried away with the DP label. Please read my tasting note which I just posted. You understand champagne and what it should offer the drinker if it scores above 90 some points. In my opinion this is just regular bubbly. Dave

6/18/2021 9:48:00 AM - Hi David. Thanks for your comments. I sent seven of my 09s to Flickinger in Chicago on consignment. They haven't sold yet at $159 each but it's only been a few months. If your birth year is '49, so is mine. I've only had one, a Pichon-Lalande some years ago and it was terrific. Marc in Naples, FL
