Saturday, December 26, 2020 - I really don't understand some of the previous reviews of this wine. I think it's a perfectly satisfactory Priorat, and even more so when you consider the price point. Yes, it's alcoholic, but 15% is the ABV that Celler Cal Pla hit with this every year, so it's not as if you don't know that going in.

Nose is lovely. Spiced fruit with just a bit of vanilla. Very full bodied., with just enough tannin and acid to keep things from getting fat and jammy. Lots of black fruit and spice again on the palate (it's grenache, what do you expect?), and the faintest hint of stony Priorat gravel. As I've said of earlier vintages, this is a more fruity Priorat than you might expect, but I don't find it objectionable. Medium-long finish. Seriously, if you can't enjoy this wine, that's a "you" problem, not a "this wine" problem.
