So, buried in the back of the cellar. But love this wine. It’s drinking well as a PnP and not seeing any brown on the meniscus. Classic Porrera finesse with a deft touch of llicarella. A Prio steal!

I would think that most Cellar Trackers’ who still have the Porrera in their cellars should be relieved that the drinking window listed is a gross understatement. Priorat is one of the most underrated and least appreciated wine regions in the world. The 2016 is delicious, at its drinking apex, and showing potential for many more years of enjoyment.

What a great QPR wine. Please decant for 2-3 hours as that’s when it truly hit its stride. Delicious velvety finish with dark cherry, tobacco with a pinch of cocoa.
Nice acidity to keep it all fresh. Enjoyed immensely with a chicken and chorizo paella!

PnP, with notes of cigar box jumping out of the glass. Black cherry and cigar box lead the way on the palate, with hints of smoked meat emerging late and lingering on the medium finish. A bit rough-hewn overall and more of an acquired taste.

The right balance of wonderful fruit flavor and acidity with slate/soil influences. Outstanding QPR.
