Monday, January 11, 2021 - ABV: 14%
30% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre, 20% Syrah, and 20% Cinsault.
(decanted for little of an hour)
I love Rhone wines as I started my wine journey in this appellation, and this is my first Beaucastel. The primary nose has a cherry and smoked meat, and has a white-pepper, mossy forest secondary smell.
The finish was smooth with an unripe plumb taste.
It could definitely use a few more years to age and round out the taste. I will go back to purchase a bottle for aging.
