Monday, May 10, 2021 - Airoldi - Bordeaux En Primeur 2020 (Quay Restaurant, International Passenger Terminal, Sydney): Cedar, a slightly meaty note, cream, red over black fruits; currants and plums, very slight herbaceous note, sweet spice. Medium plus intensity acidity. The tannins and fruit vie for attention, the former grainy and drying, the latter a reflection of the nose...after a long and enjoyable tussle the tannins win. Experience tells me there will be great joy here over time.
