Saturday, May 22, 2021 - Tasted at a wine luncheon at the Ft Worth City Club on April 30, 2021. Lunch was 2 sparklers, 4 whites, 4 reds, and a dessert wine. All wines were served blind. --- This was the first of four reds, and was my second favorite red (and third favorite wine) on the table. From the start I guessed that this was a Kistler Pinot Noir, but I guessed the age was approximately 2012. This wine was youthful for its age. Raspberry cola, a little bit of eucalyptus. Goes more to black cherry in the middle. Finished with resolving tannins, very soft even on the finish. Acidity definitely taming down. This wine still has a ton left, but it is starting to show its age as it is losing a bit of grip. Served with lamb chops, and I believed that this was the third best at pairing to the lamb.
