Tasted at a wine luncheon at the Ft Worth City Club on April 30, 2021. Lunch was 2 sparklers, 4 whites, 4 reds, and a dessert wine. All wines were served blind. --- This was the first of four reds, and was my second favorite red (and third favorite wine) on the table. From the start I guessed that this was a Kistler Pinot Noir, but I guessed the age was approximately 2012. This wine was youthful for its age. Raspberry cola, a little bit of eucalyptus. Goes more to black cherry in the middle. Finished with resolving tannins, very soft even on the finish. Acidity definitely taming down. This wine still has a ton left, but it is starting to show its age as it is losing a bit of grip. Served with lamb chops, and I believed that this was the third best at pairing to the lamb.

Lighter in color with a cleaner red fruit palate impression; less of the "typical" Hirsch power, iron, herb components. This was quite good but less intense than the other wines and suffered in comparison. My 6th, group last.

Wowza- blew us away! Cloudy-Camp fire, cranberry/Pom juice- extracted dark cherry, finished with a mineral laced finish.
A tad over the hill but cellared well and proved it could hang.

Deep rich color but funky petrochemical finish.

Beautiful, mature, but with lively fruit, berries, cola, oak, and spice, and a core minerality. Balanced and layered. Just got better and better.
