Sunday, July 18, 2021 - First bottle out my first case. Dark and brooding. Still very young with barely any secondary notes even on the nose, but delicious!! Tannins well present but not at all harsh. Wonderfully concentrated, one of the most concentrated wines I think I have ever tasted, a truly big wine. The finish goes on for minutes literally, quite remarkable. Others may score it even higher than I do, it will give the US Cab fruit-bombs a run for their money, while actually being quite sophisticated, although "elegant" is not the word I would use here.

7/21/2021 6:18:00 PM - 2005 Montrose is great! I have had it a few times in past year, all scorong at 95 or above. And i dont score high. I am looking to buy more as the cost point is really good for how damn good it is. 2003 is a bit better, but this wine is legit!!! Destroys Ca cabs to be honest..
