Wednesday, July 28, 2021 - Consumed over 3 days (vacuvined and refrigerated), note from day 3. This has tamed some in 3 days, but still an in your face wine on day 3. Appearance: Clear, medium garnet. Nose: Clean, high intensity with aromas noticeable a couple feet from the glass, classical Southern Rhone garrigue aroma with licorice, dillweed, and black olive with floral overtones - rose and violet. Palate: Clean, medium+ acid and tannin, relatively low 14.1% abv (for CdP), medium+ body, high intensity with flavors of garrigue, wild game, black pepper, and red fruit - cranberry with a long finish.

An outstanding youthful wine excelling in intensity, complexity, and length. There's so much stuffing here at the moment it's hard to balance everything out. Drink now with a long decant, better in 2-3 years and 10+ years thereafter.
