Thursday, August 12, 2021 - Deep dark reddish-purple in color. essentially opaque. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, dried herbs, minerals, some spice, olives & a hint of cedar in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums with spices, minerals, cocoa & a hint of cedar. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well with decanting & extended airing but even at 12 years of age, it has potential to develop further with additional aging & could possibly rate even higher (94+).
