Friday, August 20, 2021 - A very pleasant surprise. Tasted blind, many thought this was an older Barolo, or some Nebbiolo based wine from the past. Lighter in color - almost like an old Barolo, very floral and spicy with quite a bit of acid on the finish. Still a bit astringent, there is a seam of nice oak and some herbs. After four hours in the glass the fruit faded somewhat - so don't dawdle once this is open. Recommend to drink up in the next year or so to retain is freshness.
