Wednesday, December 15, 2021 - Tasted blind. Clear, pale garnet. Med+ red cherry, cranberry, red flowers, botanical herbs, mushrooms, stems, a hint of whole cluster fermentation, with well-integrated French oak spice. Dry, with med+ acidity, med tannins and med+ alcohol (13.4%). Med body, with med flavor intensity and length. Drinking well now, but likely to improve w/ further aging.

This is pretty clearly a moderate climate Pinot Noir. The more difficult call is whether it is from Burgundy (usually more subtle and earthier), Santa Lucia Highlands (usually more floral and candied), Sonoma or Oregon, which usually splits the middle between New and Old World. This has enough earthiness to be the latter.
