Tuesday, December 21, 2021 - Tasted blind as part of a Champagne and Burgundy tasting (plus pirates). Brown pear, steely minerality, but also hints of caramel and burnt sugar embedded in a frame of fine brioche. The balance was incredible, the texture finely knit. Rarely had a champagne that was this fantastic. The combination of precision, soft and silky mouthfeel and expanding finish is hard to top. Very limited experience with Krug so far but this definitely calls for more!
