Wednesday, April 27, 2022 - Rauzan Segla vertical tasting, wine #1. Incredibly approachable, oozing with layered multidimensional concentration and vibrant freshness. Composed of 62% CS, 35.5% Merlot, 2% PV and 0.5% CF, aged 18 months in oak, 60% new. Medium+ ruby, purple hue. Intense aroma of candied blackcurrants, blackberries, violets, earth, tree bark, smoky touch. Medium+ body, striking concentration and texture at entry with dense black fruit flavours, earth, touches of smoke, concludes with short smooth tannins and long finish.
