Wednesday, June 22, 2022 - What wonderful bottle of Pauillac!
I have only had the 2005 before (92), but this is like drinking a completely different wine. Marvelous, ripe, fruit, but neither fruitforward nor sweet and not the slightest sign of jam.
Fullbodied and muscular, thus not very elegant, which is quite the opposite to the 2017 Pontet Canet.
Drinks well straight out the bottle.
One of the best wines from Paulliac that I have had - glad to have the 2019 in the winererack. The quality in Bordeaux is just skyrocketing - what will happen when every chateu makes wine worthy of 100 pts?

Update: Ended the bottle July 2:nd and I thought this wine was best in the beginning when the wonderful fruit showed itself the most.
