This is my favorite SVD Aubert (and it has been for years). And honestly, it really does not vary too much from previous vintages. LH fruit is extremely balanced. Very good acidity, yet also very good yellow fruit notes. Aubert is quite notorious for the juicy fruit notes, and this one does not disappoint. The nose of peaches, herbs, nectarine, rosemary. The palate has some acidity that is maybe a bit more than previous vintages but the fruit is classic Hyde done in an opulent classic Aubert style. Definitely going to have to pace myself on this vintage, given that I only have one more! Aubert Chardonnay is always a treat.
